The Colonial Period and Independence topic, listing questions 73 to 78, such as “Who wrote the Declaration of Independence?”

My State

Your state. Your answers.

Some answers depend on where you live: your governor, your senators, your representative and your state capital. Pick your state and district, or tap Find my district, and those questions are answered for you everywhere in the app.

The list of officials is kept up to date, so when an election changes who holds an office, your answers change too.

Interview practice

Practice for the big day.

The civics test is spoken, so the test simulation reads each question aloud. It follows the real rules: questions drawn at random, ending as soon as you’ve passed or can no longer pass. On the 2025 test, that’s 12 right or 9 wrong.

Smart review brings back the cards you miss sooner, and the ones you know later.

Civics Pro
A test simulation on question 6, with 3 correct and 2 missed so far, 9 more to pass, and four answer choices.

Progress insights

See where to focus next.

Every simulation is charted against the passing line, and the topics you know least rise to the top, each with a shortcut to study it. Add your interview date for a countdown.

Civics Pro
A chart of correct answers per simulation against the 12-to-pass line, and a Needs Work list of topics.
